Very large tutorial. This explains a lot of what beginners will want to know about Apophysis. You'll learn all about gradients, coloring techniques, some post-work, the editor window and variations, scripts, mutations, savings fractals, rendering fractals, and important Apophysis settings. Quite a lot of reading though ^^;

Are you talking about the toolbar at the top? Check you settings to see if they're the same as this: [link]

If that doesn't fix the problem, it may be that your computer simply doesn't work well with the new beta version of Apophysis. Try downloading an older version here: [link]
